Our founders were raised thousands of miles apart—in Kenya, Illinois, and Florida—but they all grew up grounded in the same life-changing force: sisterhood. Across cultures and continents, sisterhood offers something universal—a safe, nurturing space to open up, to be heard, and to be supported without judgment.
At Zuri Life, we believe that this kind of connection shouldn’t be limited by geography. That’s why we’re building an International Sisterhood—a global network of women and girls who lift each other up, celebrate one another’s growth, and walk together through life’s challenges and joys.
Thanks to the power of technology, we’re able to connect women on Mfangano Island with sisters around the world. Through virtual pen-pal relationships—often held on platforms like WhatsApp—we create space for deep, meaningful dialogue. Participants exchange stories, ask questions, share advice, and develop authentic friendships rooted in empathy and encouragement.
When you sign up to become one of our “sisters,” you’ll be matched with a pen pal from a different corner of the world. Whether you’re sharing your school day, asking big questions about womanhood, or simply talking about what made you smile today, you’ll become part of something bigger: a living, breathing community of global sisterhood.
We’ve made it easy to join as a group—because one of the most beautiful parts of girlhood is inviting someone new into your circle. Whether you're part of a knitting club, women’s co-op, Girl Scout troop, Bible study, classroom, or anything in between, we welcome you to join together and extend the love and strength of your community. There’s always room for more hearts in the sisterhood.
